Earrings galore!

So, I have a lot of earrings.  I really like earrings.  I keep them for a long time too.  Some of my earrings date back to my high school days.  That wouldn't seem like a big deal if we were talking about diamond or gold earrings.  People keep those things forever!  No, I'm talking about cheap earrings.  Like, "leave a green mark on your ear" kind of earrings.
What does one do when one has a lot of earrings?  I'm glad you asked.  I asked myself the same question not too long ago and this is what I came up with:

I made a frame to hang them in, of course!  I started with an oval frame that I got for $1.50 at a thrift store.  I used a light layer of crackle and then painted cream colored paint over it to get the "old frame" effect.  Then I stapled fabric to the backing of the frame and stapled lace across the fabric.  It was really simple, really quick, and really cute!
Look how pretty my homemade earrings look hanging from my homemade earring holder.

Now that I had a place for my dangly earrings, I needed a place for all the studs.  I picked up two plates for $1.00 at the same thrift store and glued them together with a candle holder to get this:

This is so much better than having all my earrings in a big bowl.
